An alternative, or a complement, to evening madrasah

Many children in the UK attend madrasah after school, sometimes several evenings a week. For some families that works well; for others the travel, group sizes or late finishes make it hard to keep up. Online one-to-one lessons offer another option: shorter, focused classes at home, with a tutor who listens to your child alone.

Some parents switch completely. Others keep madrasah for community and use online lessons to strengthen reading or Tajweed. Either way, the free trial is a good way to see whether it suits your child.

Fitting lessons around the UK school day

Most UK primary and secondary schools finish in the mid-afternoon, which leaves a window between getting home and dinner. Many families prefer an early evening lesson on weekdays, and a slightly longer one at the weekend. You tell us your preferred times; we confirm what's available for your tutor.

Clocks in the UK go forward on the last Sunday in March and back on the last Sunday in October. These dates differ from the US and some other countries, so we always book and confirm your class in UK time, and it stays at the same UK time when the clocks change.

Keeping online lessons safe and productive

  • Set up the device in a shared room, like the kitchen or living room, rather than a bedroom.
  • Stay within earshot, especially for younger children. You're welcome to sit in.
  • Use headphones with a microphone so your child hears the correct pronunciation clearly.
  • Choose a female tutor if you prefer. Just select it in the form.

You can request after-school, evening and weekend times. We'll confirm availability for your chosen tutor when we arrange the trial.

Why are prices shown in dollars?

Can I stay in the room during lessons?

Yes, and we encourage it for younger children.
